A black 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali towing a trailer.

Shopping for a high-quality luxury truck will get you a vehicle that you can use as a daily driver, for work, and for special occasions. One such truck that fits the bill is the GMC Sierra 1500 Denali. Not many trucks out there offer the kind of luxury features that you get from a nameplate like the Sierra. So, if you are in the market for a luxury light-duty pickup, you might be interested in a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 for sale. In fact, there are some features that you can find on the 2024 Sierra 1500 Denali that you will not find on some of the other competing half-ton pickups within the segment. That’s why we’re going to cover some of the truck’s exclusive features and how the Denali stacks up to the competition.

The Denali Provides Enhanced Luxury Seating

Competing brands offering luxury trims have some solid features and options available, such as the 2024 Ram 1500 Limited or the 2024 F-150 Platinum. However, in terms of the depth of the luxury, there are some obvious limitations that result in the GMC Sierra 1500 Denali having a leg up over the competition, specifically features like the seating. In the Ram 1500 Limited, you have premium leather-trimmed bucket seats that are eight-way power-adjustable with four-way power lumbar support. You also have heated and ventilated front seats. The F-150 Platinum is very similar, with heated and ventilated seats, but it offers 10-way power driver and front passenger seats, featuring leather and Alcantara suede trim with Rhapsody Blue accents.

The 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali, however, features available 16-way power driver and front passenger seats, and it also includes four-way power lumbar support with driver memory settings. You can recall up to two different driver presets based on how you positioned the seats and some of the infotainment settings. Additionally, the Denali comes standard with heated and ventilated front seats, with separate buttons on the climate control console to alter the circulation with three different settings, and cooling for both the cushions and the seatbacks. But the Sierra goes further and also features perforated leather upholstery throughout the cabin for the ultimate luxury and comfort.

Improving the Drive With Super Cruise Hands-Free Driving

Modern luxury vehicles now come with an interesting new set of tech features, including features like semi-autonomous driving systems. For 2024, the Ram 1500 Limited does not have a semi-autonomous system available. However, Ford does have BlueCruise hands-free driving available for the 2024 F-150 Platinum, featuring a 90-day trial. The BlueCruise system functions on roughly 130,000 miles of highways across North America, including a few select areas in southern Canada. BlueCruise makes use of sensors and multiple cameras around the vehicle to monitor and maintain the vehicle’s position on the road, allowing you to drive hands-free.

While the BlueCruise functionality is impressive, you get far more coverage with the Super Cruise feature for the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali. Super Cruise is also a hands-free semi-autonomous system, utilizing onboard cameras and sensors to navigate the vehicle on compatible highways that span no less than 750,000 miles across North America, including the United States and Canada. The coverage is far more expansive than BlueCruise throughout the United States, featuring big and small cities alike, as well as remote towns and roadways.

Not only that, but the Super Cruise functionality for the GMC Sierra 1500 Denali also has some features not present in the 2024 F-150 Limited. One such important feature is the inclusion of hands-free driving with trailer support. You can hitch a trailer to the Sierra 1500 Denali and have the vehicle drive you to your destination with limited input from the driver, depending on the location. There is also the inclusion of automatic lane change, so Super Cruise can move you into another lane in case of congestion or closure, which is not a feature that’s available with BlueCruise for the F-150 Limited.

Indulging in the Denali’s Luxury Accessibility and Safety

When it comes to 2024 luxury truck trims, accessibility and safety are very important features to have. The Ram 1500 Limited, F-150 Platinum, and Sierra 1500 Denali all come with some great luxury accessibility and safety features. All three trucks feature packages and add-ons that give you great accessibility features for getting into and out of the trucks, as well as some luxury elements to enjoy while in the truck. For instance, each luxury truck trim can be equipped with power running boards, making it easy to climb into the cabin of the F-150 Platinum, the Ram 1500 Limited, or the Sierra 1500 Denali. Each option also features a power moonroof. However, where the Denali manages to separate itself from the others is with the added features that you don’t get on the other trucks.

The Sierra 1500 Denali offers the Denali Premium Suspension, featuring Adaptive Ride Control using Continuous Damping Control, which gives you an extremely smooth riding experience and compensates for rough or uneven terrain. The Sierra 1500 Denali also has features like Buckle to Drive, which ensures that the driver and passengers are buckled up before the vehicle is shifted out of park. This coincides with features like Teen Driver, where parents can monitor report cards of their teenage driver’s habits, including how often the GMC Pro Safety features were active, what their maximum speed was, and the distance traveled. While the F-150 Platinum and Ram 1500 Limited both have extensive safety suites, they don’t have the added safety features present on the Sierra 1500 Denali, which comes with the Teen Driver and Buckle-To-Drive, in addition to all of the other standard safety features.

The Convenience of the MultiPro Tailgate

Tailgates aren’t necessarily considered luxury items, but they can give you some luxury qualities. This isn’t necessarily true for all tailgates, though. The 2024 F-150 Platinum has the Pro-Access Tailgate, which has a single side-swinging door in addition to folding down like a traditional tailgate. The 2024 Ram 1500 Limited also has a Multifunction Tailgate, which comes with a 60/40 split side-opening feature, very much like the Pro-Access Tailgate. Both tailgates are useful for some purposes, but the 2024 Sierra 1500 Denali has the MultiPro Tailgate, which can be used for numerous recreational and convenience purposes.

For instance, the MultiPro Tailgate has six different positions. In addition to multiple load-stop positions for different-sized cargoes, you can also use the MultiPro Tailgate as a step to get inside the cargo bed. This is great if you’re attending a tailgate party and have a lot of refreshments in the back of the cargo box, and you want to easily access them. You can also use the tailgate as a fishing seat, where you can sit at the edge of the gate and use it to cast the line while keeping your bait and fishing pal nearby. Additionally, you can use the MultiPro Tailgate as a raised surface, which is great if you want a place to set your food or drinks down while you’re at an outdoor event or use it as a stand for your smartphone to take some timed family photos. It has so many different uses beyond simply being a basic utility feature.

A grey 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X parked on a rocky mountainside.

Which is better, the GMC Sierra AT4 or AT4X? Not a bad question, but it’s better to ask which of these two fantastic trucks is better for you. Ultimately, they’re both excellent versions of the full-size GMC Sierra 1500 pickup designed to let you leave polite society behind and head off-road with your truck. However, there are some critical differences between the two, including the kinds of features they each have and some of their available options. So, ultimately, the answer to this question comes down to what you’re looking for in a GMC Sierra 1500 for sale and which of these two models delivers what you need. Fortunately, we can help you with that by looking at each of them to see what they bring to the trail, considering key similarities and differences, and doing our best to help you decide which one is right for you.

The 2024 GMC Sierra AT4 – Ready for the Trail

If you’re interested in a GMC Sierra for heading off-road but are unsure which one is right for you, then the AT4 is the one to start with. This is undeniably a fantastic option for hitting the trail in your truck, and it has been built with that purpose in mind. You have two engines available with the AT4, starting with a 3.0L Duramax Turbo Diesel that offers 305 hp and a remarkable 495 lb-ft of torque. If you prefer a standard gas engine, a 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 delivers 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. Either engine comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive (4WD), as you’d expect, so it really comes down to the kind of performance you want and your preference for gas vs. diesel.

The AT4 comes with a heavy-duty air filter designed to handle greater amounts of dust and dirt, keeping them from getting into your engine. You get a standard automatic locking rear differential with the AT4 and a standard two-speed Autotrac transfer case that’s perfect for adjusting to different conditions and terrain you can encounter while going off-road. Perhaps most impressive of all, this model comes with a two-inch factory-installed lift that’s ideal for going off-road, along with Monotube Rancho shocks to improve performance and comfort on the trail, with boosted clearance and angles when you’re off-road.

Skid plates come standard on the AT4 to protect the front underbody, oil pan, differential, and transfer case from objects you might encounter while on the trail. With the AT4, you get 18-inch machined aluminum wheels wrapped in MT Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires, plus body-color front and rear bumpers and a GMC CornerStep rear bumper that makes it easier to reach things in the bed of your truck. A GMC MultiPro Tailgate comes standard on the AT4, giving you six functions to make loading and unloading cargo in the bed more manageable, plus a spray-on bedliner to protect your bed when you pile stuff into it before heading out on an adventure.

Inside, the GMC Sierra AT4 features a gorgeous 13.4-inch Premium Infotainment System with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Google built-in. This is paired with a 12.3-inch Driver Information Center display, plus you get a wireless charging pad, adaptive cruise control, and a seven-speaker Bose Premium sound system. The AT4 has perforated leather seating with 10-way power-adjustable driver, which is heated so you’re comfortable at any elevation, and a wrapped, heated steering wheel. You get Remote Start functionality, Keyless Open and Start, dual-zone automatic climate control, and much more as standard features, making the AT4 a terrific choice for enjoying the weekend and daily driving.

The 2024 GMC Sierra AT4X – Off-Road Performance Elevated

As remarkable as the AT4 is, the GMC Sierra AT4X essentially takes everything we love about it and raises it to the next level. You can choose the same diesel and gas engines here, so you don’t miss out on any performance or power in your off-road truck. However, the AT4X comes with driver-selectable, full-locking front and rear differentials, giving you greater control over traction and control while going off-road. You also get a special off-road suspension with a two-inch factory lift and Multimatic DSSV dampers to provide you with enhanced control and comfort in even the most extreme conditions.

We find similar 18-inch painted aluminum wheels on the AT4X with MT Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires, so you don’t miss out on anything here, though this model comes with a power sunroof. This one has a stamped-steel high-approach front bumper with heavy-duty cast recovery points and a design that improves your truck’s approach angle. Along with other great exterior features such as a spray-on bedliner and GMC MultiPro Tailgate, the AT4X also includes a MultiPro Audio System by Kicker featuring a weatherproof tailgate sound system, perfect for when you stop for lunch or get to your favorite campsite.

Inside the AT4X, we find GMC luxury taken to another level entirely, beyond even the impressive features of the AT4. This model includes a 12-speaker Bose Premium Series sound system with CenterPoint audio for incredible clarity and quality, plus full-grain leather seating with 10-way power front seats that include massage functionality. You get heated and ventilated front seats, along with heated rear seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 15-inch multi-color head-up display. All this comes together to make the AT4X astonishingly luxurious and sophisticated for a pickup built to take you where many other trucks fear to tread.

One of our favorite options for the AT4X is the available AEV Edition package, developed in partnership with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV). This package includes several impressive upgrades, including AEV hot-stamped Boron steel skid plates for the fuel tank and rear differential, as well as AEV-stamped steel front and transfer case skid plates. This ensures powerful shielding for the underside of your truck, protecting vital components from rocks, fallen branches, and other obstacles you might encounter. You even get an AEV stamped-steel rear bumper with heavy-duty cast recovery points to match the front bumper, creating one of the most luxurious and capable off-road trucks available anywhere.

Key Similarities and Differences Between Them

As you can see, these two trucks have a lot in common: both of them have the same two engines available, with 4WD and the same transmission. You get skid plates on them and a two-inch factory lift for the suspension, plus large 18-inch wheels with off-road tires designed to take you anywhere you want to go. Going with the AT4X model gets you driver-controlled locking front and rear differentials, the exclusive Multimatic DSSV dampers on the suspension for added comfort and control in rough conditions, and an impressive front bumper.

Perhaps the most significant differences are found inside, where the AT4X gets enhanced luxury and tech features. Many of these are standard features on the AT4X, which are either unavailable or optionally available for the AT4, creating a sophisticated truck beyond anything else out there—plus, the AEV Edition is only available for the AT4X model.

Which of These Trucks Is Right for You?

That still might not be an easy question to answer, but at this point, you should have a good idea of what each of these trucks has to offer. If you’re looking for a powerful and dependable off-road truck with excellent features inside and out, but you’re not interested in the height of luxury or the AEV Edition, then the AT4 could be the perfect choice. On the other hand, if you want elevated tech and comfort features or are interested in those hot-stamped Boron steel skid plates, you should definitely give the AT4X model a good look. Perhaps the easiest way to decide is to see them both, get a feel for what they each offer, and then choose the perfect one for your next adventure. Remember: no matter which one you’re interested in, here at Kemna Auto of Fort Dodge, we’re ready to help.

A low angle view of a white 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 parked off-road in a forest.

If you want a powerful, reliable, and versatile truck, why not purchase one that has historically been near the top of the list of best-selling vehicles in America? The Chevy Silverado is a truck built for those who want true power from their vehicles, whether it’s to get through tough work days or even incredible off-road experiences with trims like the Silverado ZR2. You may also be in the market for a Chevy Silverado 1500 for sale because you want the perfect pickup truck for your everyday needs while fulfilling your dreams of driving a truck that performs as fiercely as its legendary design. However, you may need something more than what the Silverado 1500 provides, and this is where the Silverado 2500 HD comes in. Which truck is right for your needs? We’ll tell you everything you need to know, so let’s get started!

Performance Comparisons

The Silverado 1500 and Silverado 2500 HD are both highly capable pickup trucks. Both trucks have different takes on performance, resulting in the more approachable Silverado 1500 being the recommended choice for pickup truck drivers of many kinds. There are plenty of ways the Silverado 1500 will enhance your life, and nothing is stopping you from hauling campers and boats with it. If you’re moving to a different house or apartment, you won’t need to worry about renting a U-Haul to transport your belongings. These are just some of the many ways that owning a Silverado 1500 is the quintessential way of enjoying life with a pickup truck.

As for the Silverado 2500 HD, it’s the first of the two heavy-duty Chevy trucks, with the other being the Silverado 3500 HD. While it’s more than capable for most personal use case scenarios, the Silverado 2500 HD is the perfect work vehicle, especially if you run a small business or constantly transport tools or supplies for your job. It’s also a great pick if you have a large camper or trailer that could strain a smaller truck. You’re making the right choice by purchasing any Silverado truck, but you want the perfect model for your needs, so let’s go over the differences a bit.

Silverado 1500

Let’s discuss the Silverado 1500’s performance first. The 2024 Silverado 1500 comes standard with a turbocharged 2.7L I-4 engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. With the base turbocharged engine, the 2024 Silverado 1500 outputs 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque, supporting a maximum towing capacity of 9,500 lbs and a maximum payload capacity of 2,260 lbs. Rear-wheel drive comes standard with the base powertrain configuration, but four-wheel drive is available.

Many drivers want a V8 engine in their pickup truck, and if you’re that type of driver, you’ll find plenty of enjoyment out of either V8 engine you can purchase for your Silverado 1500. The first of the two available options is a 5.3L V8 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. With 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, the 5.3L V8 engine is an impressive showing, even if the torque output is less than the turbocharged I-4 engine––the 5.3L V8 engine gives a notable leap to a maximum towing capacity of 11,300 lbs and also sports a payload capacity of 2,180 lbs.

How does the second V8 engine you can buy for your Silverado 1500 perform? The 6.2L V8 engine has notably higher displacement than the 5.3L V8 engine, and performance sees a noticeable uplift in each category. The engine is also paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, but it’s the only powertrain configuration that comes with four-wheel drive standard. As for performance, the 6.2L V8 engine lends the 2024 Silverado 1500 a power output of 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, with a maximum towing capacity of 13,300 lbs and a payload capacity of 1,980 lbs.

The last available powertrain configuration for the 2024 Silverado 1500 is the turbo-diesel 3.0L I-6 engine, which is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, like the available V8 engines. The turbo-diesel engine has several benefits over gasoline-powered options, including exceptional fuel efficiency. It also features a maximum towing capacity of 13,300 lbs, so it matches the highest available level of performance. The turbo-diesel 3.0L I-6 engine achieves 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque––the best torque of the bunch––and has a payload capacity of 1,970 lbs. Another reason why having an optional diesel powertrain is so important is because Ford and Ram don’t offer one anymore in the F-150 or Ram 1500, meaning that only Chevy continues to cater to diesel fans.

A close-up on the grille of a red 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500HD ZR2.

Silverado 2500 HD

The Silverado 2500 HD is a truck constructed to provide professionals with the type of power they need. Again, looking at the 2024 model, the Silverado 2500 HD has a more conservative approach to powertrains, with two available options instead of the four for the Silverado 1500. The two engines for the Silverado 2500 HD are both 6.6L V8 engines, but one runs on gasoline, while the other is a turbo-diesel. Both engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

If you need proper professional-grade towing but don’t want to spend even more money on a Silverado 3500 HD, look no further than the Silverado 2500 HD. The standard engine, which is the 6.6L gasoline V8, outputs 401 hp and 464 lb-ft of torque. With a maximum towing capacity of 18,700 lbs and a maximum payload capacity of 3,689 lbs, the base engine in the 2024 Silverado 2500 HD offers 41% more towing capacity and 63% more payload capacity than the Silverado 1500’s best efforts.

However, the real magic behind the 2024 Silverado 2500 HD stems from the turbo-diesel engine. Whereas the turbo-diesel engine in the 2024 Silverado 1500 matches the towing capacity of the model’s top gasoline engine, there’s a far greater divide between the base 6.6L V8 engine in the 2024 Silverado 2500 HD and the turbo-diesel 6.6L V8 engine. With the turbo-diesel 6.6L V8 engine, your 2024 Silverado 2500 HD outputs 470 hp and 975 lb-ft of torque, the latter of which is nearly twice what you will get from the turbo-diesel engine in the 2024 Silverado 1500. This results in a payload capacity of 3,615 lbs and a towing capacity of 22,510 lbs.

Cargo Space Differences

Cargo space is simple to explain and compare between the two trucks, and both have effective means of carrying personal or business belongings. Something both trucks have in common that benefits everybody, professional or otherwise, is the Multi-Flex tailgate. This feature offers half a dozen ways to utilize the tailgate, including turning it into a load stop, a work surface for your laptop or clipboard, a full-width step, and more. Silverado truck beds can also be fitted with 120V outlets, so if you forgot to charge your tools or want to top off their batteries while you eat lunch, you can do so with these trucks.

As for the cargo space and bed sizes, the 2024 Silverado 1500 has three available bed sizes, compared to the two the 2024 Silverado 2500 HD has. The three available bed sizes for the Silverado 1500 include a 5.8-foot short bed, a 6.6-foot standard bed, and an 8.2-foot long bed, while the two bed sizes for the Silverado 2500 HD include a 6.9-foot standard bed and 8.2-foot long bed. This means that, in their smallest bed configurations, the Silverado 2500 HD has more cargo space than the Silverado 1500, with the former offering 69.5 cu.ft. compared to the latter’s 62.9 cu.ft.

In between the smallest and largest bed sizes is the 6.6-foot bed for the 2024 Silverado 1500. There’s no equivalent for the Silverado 2500 HD, but if you want the best of both worlds in bed length, you’ll get an ample 71.7 cu.ft. of space. The longest bed sizes for both trucks are a matching 8.2 feet in length, but this doesn’t mean the cargo space is identical. With the Silverado 1500’s 8.2-foot bed, you’ll have 89.1 cu.ft. of space, compared to the 83.5 cu.ft. of space with the Silverado 2500 HD. It’s a small difference, but it’s noticeable if cargo space is important to you.

A man sitting in the driver's seat of a 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 and using Super Cruise.

Which Truck Is Right for You?

If you’re stuck between the Silverado 1500 and Silverado 2500 HD, you’re in luck because it’s easy to narrow down your choice to one by only asking yourself a couple of questions. Since cargo space and tech aren’t the difference makers between the two trucks, the question you must ask yourself is whether the extra performance is warranted––do you have a reason you need that much power, and are you willing to spend the extra money?

These two questions regularly answer themselves. If you have a small business and need the extra performance, then you don’t need us to tell you the Silverado 2500 HD is the way to go. However, if you’re not a small business owner, simply want a pickup truck, and may be on a tighter budget, then the Silverado 1500 is probably the way to go. It all comes down to what matters most to you.

A black 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 Midnight Trailboss Z71 is shown parked on a city street.

At this point, there’s no denying that the Chevy Silverado is one of the most powerful, popular, and impressive trucks on the road today, delivering full-size power and performance that you can count on day after day. If you’re interested in a Chevy Silverado 1500 for sale, however, you’ll be confronted with so many options and amazing features that it’s easy to overlook something, which is one of the reasons so many people come to us at Kemna Auto of Fort Dodge to find the perfect truck. Despite our knowledge, we know how much it helps to start researching and learning about what’s out there early on, so we figured we’d give you a hand. Let’s look at some of the key packages and impressive features of the Silverado 1500 that you should have in mind while looking for your next pickup.

Different Packages for Different Models

Before we dig into some of our favorite packages available for the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500, we should mention that you won’t find all of these offered on every model. Some packages and special editions are only available on certain trims, which is essential to keep in mind when considering your options. Rather than seeing this as a limit, however, simply view it as an extension of what the different trim levels offer. So, if there’s a particular package or feature you want, make sure it’s offered on the trim level that you’re interested in and go from there.

Midnight Edition Package

Although this is a special edition of the Chevy Silverado, it’s offered as a package, so we thought we’d mention it briefly. Available for the Trail Boss models and, new for the 2024 model year, the High Country, this package includes a raised hood and an overall black appearance, including black badging and other details, and 18-inch high-gloss black wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires. You get high-intensity discharge LED headlamps on this one, and the High Country version includes black power-retractable assist steps.

Rally Edition Package

Offered for the Custom and RST models, the Rally Edition package gives the Silverado 1500 a bold, street-inspired aesthetic. This package includes a black hood and rally stripes, black badging including the bowtie emblem and tailgate lettering, and 20-inch high-gloss black wheels. The RST version has 22-inch high-gloss black wheels available, and all Rally Edition models include black tubular assist steps.

Max Trailering Package

Looking beyond aesthetics, one of the most popular packages available is the Max Trailering package. Note that other than the very starting WT model, all 2024 Silverado trucks come with the standard Trailering package that features a trailer hitch, seven- and four-pin connectors, and the Hitch Guidance system to make connecting to a trailer easier. The Max Trailering package enhances this with an automatic locking rear differential, a handling/trailer suspension package, revised shock tuning, and heavier-duty springs to increase towing and gross combined weight rating for your truck. If you plan on doing some serious towing, then this is the one you need.

Z71 Off-Road Package

While there are numerous Silverado models designed for heading off-road, you can also make other trims more trail-worthy by choosing the available Z71 Off-Road package. This package includes Hill Descent Control to provide smoother downhill driving without the need to use your brakes as heavily and a heavy-duty air filter to handle the extra dust and dirt of the trail. You get a two-speed Autotrac transfer case that gives you greater control and improved traction on dirt roads and skid plates to protect the underside of your truck. Some versions of this package also include an off-road suspension with Rancho twin tube shocks for enhanced capability.

Assist Step and Tonneau Value Packages

Several different Assist Step and Tonneau Value packages are available, with different ones offered on different trim levels. All of them come with assist steps to help you and your passengers get in and out of the truck and a tonneau cover for the bed, though the specifics differ between them. Package II for the RST trim, for example, has four-inch round assist steps in a Black powder-coat finish or chrome, plus a tri-fold soft tonneau cover. On the other hand, Package III for the RST features six-inch flat rectangular assist steps and a hard-folding cover, giving you different options to get exactly what you want.

Dark Appearance Package

If you want some of the Midnight Edition’s aesthetic details but are not interested in all of its features, the Dark Appearance package could be a great choice. This features Black badging, decals, exhaust tips, and 20-inch high-gloss Black wheels to create a powerful and intimidating exterior appearance. These kinds of appearance options give you more great ways to customize your truck.

Convenience Packages

There are also a number of Convenience packages available for different trim levels that add extra tech features to your truck. The RST model comes with Convenience Package I, for example, with dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and more. You can add a Convenience Package II to your truck to get a rear sliding power window, extra towing technology, and a Bose Premium sound system. These kinds of packages make it easy to add a bundle of features to your Silverado all at once.

Leather and Protection Packages

Leather interior and Protection packages are also available separately, which further enhance your driving experience and help protect your pickup. For example, the Leather interior package for the RST model adds front leather-appointed seats and under-seat storage for the rear seats in Crew Cab models. Meanwhile, the available Protection package for the RST adds rear wheelhouse liners to protect the wheelhouse area from dirt and mud off the road, plus a Chevytec spray-on bed liner to protect your truck bed.

The Durabed and Multi-Flex Tailgate

Speaking of the truck bed, the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 has the most functional bed of any pickup truck, thanks to more cargo volume than its competitors and high-strength steel construction. The 12 standard tie-downs are rated at 500 lbs per corner, creating numerous ways to secure cargo so it won’t go anywhere. With the available Multi-Flex Tailgate, you get even greater functionality out of your bed. This tailgate gives you six different functions, including a primary gate that can be opened with the touch of a button and a primary gate load stop to prevent long items from sliding out of your truck’s bed. An inner gate can fold down to let you reach farther into the bed and includes a full-width step so you can get into the bed with ease; plus, it can function as a work surface and even has a secondary load stop to keep stacked items from sliding out.

Super Cruise Technology

One of our favorite things about the 2024 Silverado 1500 is that Chevy’s incredible Super Cruise technology is available. Super Cruise is a true hands-free driving function that is compatible with hundreds of thousands of miles of roads across North America. It takes care of lane centering, lane changing, and even a function to automatically shift lanes when it detects a slower-moving vehicle ahead. Plus, when you opt for Super Cruise with Trailering for the Silverado 1500, the Super Cruise system accounts for the extra stopping distance, braking, acceleration, and turning radius needed for any compatible trailer’s added weight and dimensions. This is an incredible piece of tech that can make long trips and daily drives a lot easier.
